What Do Accountability And Distance Have To Do With Creating A Life You Love?

Remember that time when you were sitting in your closet crying your eyes out? Feeling overwhelmed and drained? And you didn’t know where to turn? Yeah… me, too.

I didn’t need some big shot guru or motivational speaker to tell me how to get my life together.

What I really craved was a sisterly bond, a friend who had walked my path before. Someone to guide me back to my best self. So, I reached out to wise women through personal connections, books and courses to figure out how to love my life again.

Here’s the thing; Women have a unique ability to show up for one another. We’re really good at supporting and empowering each other…when the right mix of emotional safety and confidentiality are present.

I want to brag on the women who recently attended the Winter 2023 Pause Retreat. They are rock stars! And I want you to know them, because I think you’re a lot like them.

They showed up from California, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Minnesota, all from different industries and lifestyles.

Because the space was set, we shared our struggles and the ways we overcame them. We gave each other encouragement without judgment. We didn’t pretend to have it all together. We even went bare faced and felt comfortable enough to let out our bellies when we finally took that needed long, deep breath.

We learned life feels better when we’re sharing the journey with others.

And here’s something special that happens only when we get away from our day to day.:

We show up for each other… AND in doing that, we show up for ourselves.

That’s why getting away from home and peers are key components of every Pause Retreat.

I created The Pause for women who want more from life… WITHOUT HAVING TO DO MORE.

The most recent retreaters left Florida with a renewed sense of purpose, clarity in their mission/vision, confidence and a support system like they never experienced before.

Here’s what Angie had to say about her most recent Pause experience: “The location and weather was great and hard to leave, but really it was the group of women and the conversations we shared that were the hardest to leave”

And Jaime said: “I can’t begin to describe the last 3 1/2 days. The Pause Retreat has been monumental in my growth as a woman, a leader, a friend, a wife and a mother.  I have learned so much from these women. They have inspired, challenged and moved me. We laughed. We cried. We SANG and danced. We strategized, problem solved and decompressed.”

And even though we’re all home now,the great news is that their experience of The Pause isn't over. The retreaters will continue to have private coaching with me and we’ll get together via zoom next month, for our Virtual Reunion. Their benefits continue long after the retreat is over.

I’m excited to tell you that we’re already making plans for the Summer 2023 Pause Retreat in Stillwater, MN.

Your community is waiting.

As always, the summer Pause will be a small group. (That’s part of the special sauce.)

So, if you want access to the details before everyone else, just email me at Lisa@LivingFullyBalanced.com, and I’ll put you on the Early Access List.

Remember that time in your closet when you ruminated about the importance of creating distance from your day to day and accountability?

The answer is a definitive YES! Having an accountability group and creating distance from your day to day are critical when you are ready to create a life you love.
