"Over a year ago, when I first read online that Lisa was facilitating a group with the focus on surviving the holidays, I felt compelled to attend. I had all but given up on surviving the holidays for the past several years. I often wished we could just skip November and December all together. So I went.

We were a lively group!  The atmosphere was welcoming and encouraging.  And I found I was not alone.  We all came with our own stresses and struggles with getting through the holidays and everyone shared openly.  Lisa took care and guided us on ways to relax, accept what we cannot change, and set realistic goals.  She offered ideas to stay healthy and positive, and enjoy the pending festivities.

Then something really awesome happened! As a group, we decided that this one meeting was not enough.  We all felt empowered and supported, and decided that we should check in with each other during and after the holidays. So we did and that's how Club Connect started!

Ever since joining Club Connect that late fall, I've come to look very forward to our next meeting.  Every month, I learn something about myself; feel challenged to react to "real life" differently, and enjoy the other people willing to share with, and support each other.  Knowing I have a coach, and a network of people that care, makes navigating daily life so much better! Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we cry.  But always we grow stronger, healthier, happier."

"Three years ago I lost 55 lbs and was successfully maintaining my new 'normal' weight. Then life intervened. I was completely overloaded and in what seemed like no time at all, I was  resuming old patterns. I was eating, feeling out of control and gaining weight. As a result I was depressed, and was beating myself up. I was afraid that this was the beginning of the end of my success, and secretly telling myself that see- your success was a mirage, you are a failure after all.  In short I was in a death spiral.

I asked Lisa for help. Through her patient listening, thoughtful guidance, and knowledgeable  suggestions I came to several eye opening ah-ha moments. I came to understand that I was linking feeling overloaded and eating as a way to express it-an old old behavior. Once I understood how I had automatically linked the feeling and the behavior, I  then realized I had the power to separate them.  And once I mentally separated them, I was back in control, out of the death spiral and back on track.

Although my 'crisis' is over I’m  continuing to work with Lisa. With her help,  I'm learning to view what happened as a blip in my successful weight loss journey, rather than confirmation of  my fundamental failure.  I'm learning (in the words of Rachel Remen) "what we believe about ourselves can hold us hostage".

"Before the Complete Living Fully Balanced Program, I was depressed about my weight, and the stress from work and family obligations were consuming me. My confidence was at an all time low, while my weight was at it’s all time high.

I was afraid to go to the gym because of what people would say. And because I was juggling many responsibilities at work along with raising my daughter I was exhausted and I didn’t take the time to take care of myself.

I reached out to Lisa because I felt stuck, and even though I really wanted to make a change, I lacked motivation and didn’t know where to start.

In only 6 weeks, I reduced stress, was managing my many priorities more effectively, and I was so much happier. I had more energy and was just more pleasant to be around. And I gained the confidence to go back to the gym.

Now that the Complete LFB Program is over, I realize that if I’m not making time for myself, at some point in the day, I’m not helping anyone. I’ve reprioritized things so that I have more time to do what’s important for me and my family.
